“Hannah and the Marvelous Story of the Aimar Creature” is a Chile-Costa Rica co-production, created by Alejo Crisóstomo (producer), Kattia Zuñiga (writer / producer), and Raquel Chacón Madrigal (director / writer).
The story takes place in the South Pacific Costa Rica’s coastline. Isolina (10, Boruca) rescues Hannah (10, German-Costa Rican) from a trap she has been caught in after fleeing from land grabbers.
Hannah is determined to find her father. Isolina is looking for the fantastic Aimar, the freest creature that is capable of saving her people from any threat. As they walk through the jungle, pursued by the evildoers, Hannah imagines, in a theater, the story Isolina tells her about Aimar, the “dyer” who freed her community from the conquerors with the help of nature. The girls will have to walk, swim and fly to get what they want.
