LOGLINE
A humorous animation series about two millennial hamsters who comment life from their cage.
SYNOPSIS
Hamsters is a humorous 2D animation series about Philippe and Giovanni: two mischievous hamsters who comment the world from their cage. They try to understand and face all the “dangers” that come their way. Giovanni tries to fit in the world of popular animals on social media, while Philippe is only interested in food. The series touches millennials in their hearts and sometimes in their crotches. The author Laura Janssens is an Instagram cartoonist and the woman behind a wildly popular webcomic. She is the spiritual mother of Philippe and Giovanni, who won many hearts in the past years. Her stories capture the spirit of the generation.

Laura Janssens studied fine arts and obtained a master’s degree in 2013. Since 2014, she has been creating online comics. In the meantime, she has carried out a large number of illustration assignments and published several comic books. In 2019, she created the animation project Niet Nu Laura.
